MOBI Phoenix Noir PDF ↠  blackswanteacouk  phoenix book, noir kindle, Phoenix Noir PDFAs the opening titles fade in Alfred Hitchcock's immortal film Psycho the camera begins to pan slowly across the gray urban landscape of Phoenix Arizona in the late 1950s Finally the camera selects a building and slowly zooms in through the open window of a seedy hotel room Janet Leigh lies on the bed wearing only a white s

MOBI Phoenix Noir PDF ↠  blackswanteacouk  phoenix book, noir kindle, Phoenix Noir PDFRead and rated only Diana Gabaldon's story Dirty Scottsdale Nothing particularly exciting nice AZ atmosphere a couple of memorable characters but Gabaldon needed another probably hundred pages to make this short mystery worthwhile we all know how wordy she is The ending of the story was choppy easy and unimpressive as if wrapped up too early

MOBI Phoenix Noir PDF ↠  blackswanteacouk  phoenix book, noir kindle, Phoenix Noir PDFLike all Short Story anthologies this entry had a couple of great stories a few good stories and a few uninteresting at least to me stories Jon Talton does his usual great job with BULL about the declining days of passenger rail service in and out of Phoenix If you want to read a good detective series you should try his DAVID MAPSTONE series Lee Child's PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION is short and very good well worth reading The outcome is predictable but getting there is a pleasure But I think the gem of book is the James Sallis entry OTHERS OF MY KIND It left me wanting I just found out he has written a novel of the same name so I will be sure to read it

MOBI Phoenix Noir PDF ↠  blackswanteacouk  phoenix book, noir kindle, Phoenix Noir PDFIn this Akashic Noir volume the writing is impeccable but the stories are hard to take hence NOIR Phoenix and its surrounding Metropolitan area the fifth largest city in the US is unkind to many of its residents while others live a life of plenty in facade It is a place where karma comes to die It is as if the beautiful but unforgiving desert has cursed this juvenile city in Arizona for disturbing its uiet its flora and fauna and the mountains whose flowing foothills have been eaten away by development This book reflects the many dimensions of this curse both historical and present day

MOBI Phoenix Noir PDF ↠  blackswanteacouk  phoenix book, noir kindle, Phoenix Noir PDFI enjoy the noir story series And I enjoyed this one The stories are by various authors and they explore the dark side of human nature The stories cover crime jealousy greed lust anger larceny etc What the stories have in common is place Too many of the stories in this collection were unsatisfying because they ended with no real resolution There were too many unanswered uestions and I got frustrated However the stories by Lee Child Barry Graham and Kurt Reichenbaugh were very satisfying and were true to the noir theme
